Hello,

a bit about me:

I am a high school senior who currently attends South Forsyth High School. I am apart of the Honors Mentorship program which is a program that lets students experience and shadow professionals of your choice in the community. I wanted to be a doctor ever since my first mission trip to Lebanon. During my mission trip, I had the opportunity to serve Syrian Refugee children by mentoring them and teaching them basic english. Through this encounter, I realized the lack of healthcare and attention the Syrian Refugees were getting, so this sparked an interest for the medical pathway; I've always wanted to go back and serve them with the medical utilities they needed.

This year I was privileged to have the opportunity to shadow a Pediatrician, Dr. Chunduri from Sunshine Pediatrics,  through the Honors Mentorship program. I learned about how to take patient vital, read and organize medical records, and most importantly to interact with a variety of patients.
