Wallach, Dr. Daniel . “Atopic march: from theory to practice.” Foundation for Atopic Dermatitis, 7 Nov. 2014, www.fondation-dermatite- atopique.org/en/healthcare-professionals-space/news/atopic-march- theory- practice.

In this article, the author Dr. Wallach emphasized and brought attention to the complex effects and conditions that Atopic Dermatitis brings to patients. Wallach connects the facts from Atopic Dermatitis to the linkage between allergic asthma and allergic rhino-conjunctivitis. He states the "common factor between these three illnesses, which we call atopic predisposition, is a predisposition to produce IgE- class antibodies directed against antigens present in the everyday environment."This article also brings to light the treatments and effects of treating eczema first to help lessen the development of other atopic conditions. Additionally, this article helps clear misconceptions regarding the cause of the development of the "atopic march" and the overall progression of the complex illness. This source is reliable, because this is from a nonprofit organization site which was specifically for the research and education of atopic dermatitis; atopic dermatitis is the first step of the atopic march, so this information was crucial in the progression of my research.
