Assignment #12: Partner in Your Education

In regards to my internship site, I feel as if they're a "partner in your education," because I feel like the internship is a stepping stone and helper to my career and my leadership skills for the future. Like a partner, it is something I can incorporate into my life and social knowledge. Some of the goals that I have met were to get accustomed to the new clinical workplace like speaking with patients on the phone or in person and working with the clinic staffs. I have made new goals: to become a student leader within the clinic so I can represent myself as a hardworking high school student leader.

In my overall experiences so far, some of the things that I have done to make my supervisor's life easier was by taking initiative and having quick actions in the workplace. Some times the clinic can get busy and hectic, so without the doctor asking me to, I would prepare all the things she would need in advance and have it ready for her. On the slower days, I would ask her if there is anything I could help with and she would give me the tasks and jobs she didn't have the time to do. This has made my supervisor's life easier with my assistance and quick senses.
